Daisy Gesualdi
Daisy Gesualdi is a visual artist who works primarily as a painter with an interest in photography as well. She is a current undergraduate student at Western Connecticut State University (WCSU) with a major in studio art. She was raised in the small town of Bethel, Connecticut, close to her university in Danbury. Her artistic career started from a young age where she was encouraged to create using a broad spectrum of mediums such as clay, paint, and printmaking. For the past three years, she has been working as a custom framer for Art and Frame in Newtown, Connecticut, in order to harness an artistic trade. Most recently she has been pursuing a career in museum work, interning at the New Britain Museum of American Art (NBMAA) in their Collections department. She hopes to graduate WCSU then pursue her master's degree in museum studies. Daisy’s work explores the concept of what it means to be a twenty-first-century American, and how key shifts have impacted our individual perceptions.
